Default Question regarding JDM front end conversion (insurance related)

I have read in c-speedracing.com about the front end installation. They mentioned the size of the JDM rebar (what is this anyway?) is smaller than the USDM and it's much lighter in weigh. That's the reason why it doesn't pass the US safety standard.....

ok, so if that's the case, is that going to affect anything regarding the insurance as well as warranty from the dealer? For those who have done it, did you report it to the insurance company?

thanks,
CS

honestly, anyone one knows about this? I mean, is this a chance that I have to take if I go with the JDM conversion?

thanks,

i have it. i didnt report it to the insurance company. think about this they are OEM parts so its all good in that aspect. but Acura will NEVER warranty that front end.

I didn't report mine to the insurance either, and the last time mine was in an accident the adjuster just explained that the parts were OEM from Japan and the insurance co. didn't say anything. I just recently switched to a new insurance co. and luckily I act as the adjuster for them so I don't forsee a problem there either.
