Default Tail gate shocks for a hatch.

I dont know how to take off the tailgate shocks for a 97 hatchback? The part where the circluar ball is inside the shock any ideas ive taken a flat and everything else to it is there an easier way?

im talking about taking the rotating ***** out of the metal sockets.

There is a circlip that needs to be popped off with a flathead screwdriver.

The top mount is a bolt, the bottom one has the brass looking "bearing" for lack of a better term. if you look closely, the circlip is the size of a dime, roughly.

Either break it off if you have replacement shocks, or do like i said with a flathead.
