anyone know if an em1 si radio fits in a 96-98 ek climate controls...wana get one but dont know if it fts??

 

It's a bit too big. The '99-'00 deck is a 1.25 DIN IIRC and the '96-'98 has a 1 DIN space.

 

Dam..know of any oem radios that light up amber and fit 98 climate controls?

 

why not just settle with a sony xplod? their not too terrible and its mostly red so it will almost match

 

get a gsr radio or an acura rsx radio they sell a plug and play harness for the rsx radio into civics that's what i got in my eg hatch right now

I put an Si radio in my '98 anyway. I put it down in the lower DIN pocket area.

I once had a Sony Xplod. It was free. It got stolen later.

 

i have a 99 si radio above my cup holer in my 98. bolts right in looks good ill see if i cant get a pic today.

Well, yes. They took my entire car, so I suppose the entire car was free that night.

I don't think I have a photo of the radio. I might, but I'd have to look. I don't take a lot of interior shots.

 

Oh damn, the irony isn't so humorous anymore. Sorry to hear that the whole thing got stolen.

 

It's okay. I got lucky and got the car back several hours later.

 

shoot, if nofx were a mod she would ban me for saying red 96-98 civics are dumb.

but back on topic, you can put a 99-00 si radio in the lower din above the cup holder in the 96-98s. Because about the cup holder it is a littler bigger then a single din.
