Default IMW-Tuned: Lyscholm 1600AX on Stock Internal K20Z1 Dyno Results

A customer of mine from upstate New York has been working on piecing together a sort-of custom supercharger setup for his RSX, and yesterday, we finally got a glimpse of what kinda' power may be hiding in the setup.

The blower is a Lyscholm 1600AX twin-screw unit mated to a Jackson Racing manifold which has been modified to bolt onto the twin-screw, and a custom aftercooler setup to keep everything in check.

Here are some preliminary dyno results from yesterday's testing:

Jose (the owner of the vehicle) and I learned the limits of RC 650's with a single 255lph pump on the OEM returnless RSX fuel system today; and the limit resides at around the 340whp level at 7800-8300 RPM on this application.

Duty cycle was at an indicated 100% at 5,500 RPM, although the actual 100% duty cycle (point in which no more fuel can flow) was reached at a much higher RPM and power level.

That said, we made due with what we could today given the limited fueling resources, and tuned the vehicle on the 3.2" pulley with Z1 CP.

The potential for GREAT power exists on this setup with proper fueling. Big gains were made (20-25whp) from moving the cam from 50 degrees to 38 degrees from 6,000 RPM onward.

Given the fueling situation, we decided not to continue with the testing at this point in time, so there is definitely some power left in the setup before making the switch to the 3.0" blower pulley. Infact, I believe there to be even more power left at the current boost level, just simply with more time.

Bosch 1,000's are on the way, as well as more work on the tune itself. The TS makes boost so incredibly quickly that tuning the low boost portions transitioning into VTEC is very hard to achieve.

More time on the dyno will reveal the Twin-Screw's secrets, for sure, and I look forward to seeing Jose once more.

Nice power from a blower How much more boost will it make with the different pulley? Did you get a peek at the IAT's?

Post-blower IAT's were 140 degrees or so at the end of a pull, which is leaps and bounds over most un-cooled setups at less boost which peak somewhere around 230-240 degrees after a big pull.
