So I'm driving on the 10 FWY this morining on my way back from the Cars and Coffee meet in Irvine and next thing I know I have a popo in my mirror. Since I was alittle over the speed limit I figured that was it. He says he pulled me over for my window tint then says "can you open your hood"....... I'm like what? Since I'm new to CA I'm like whatever. He ended up being kinda cool and just gave me a ticket for the window tint and a lecture on the DC header not having some sticker? Then when I was about to close the hood he's like "is that a fuel pressure regulator?"I told him I didn't think it was adjustable (B&M FPR is adjustable of course) but he seen the guage and said you don't usually put on a guage unless it's adjustable. So we chatted for a second about how clean my car was and then he told me to have a nice day.

I'm getting my Florida tags ordered next week and I won't have to worry about this crap anymore. Since I'm in the Army I can register my car out of state.

So how much is a window tint ticket?

 

if you remove it, its like a $10 fix it ticket or something like that. just remove it, have it checked out, and put it back on.

 

I thought that too but on the ticket it was marked not fixable or something to that affect. So will I still have to go to court? I'm going to get my Florida tags so I wonder if I do that and show them it's registered out of state? Thanks for your response. I almost forgot to call the Florida DMV.
