Default Wiring Component speakers to Amp?

Do I wire a 18 Gauge speaker wire from the amp to the crossover. Then the crossover to the speaker? What about the factory speaker wire that are located on the stock speakers? Do i cut those and crimp them with the 18 gauge wires?

Im a little confused about this. Can someone show me the light??

Gauge of speaker wire will depend on amps RMS output, but you should be fine with 16ga.

It should be run from the amp to the passive x-overs, then to speakers, the OEM speaker wire should not be used.94
