my car idles higher than it should. i cleaned my iacv and its working cuz when i plug the hole the idle drops like 150 rpm. the cant be vacuim leak cuz i got new mani gasket. when i pinch the hose going from intake mani to valve cover the rpms drop. I replaced the elbow thats in the valve cover with different one. and adjusted the idle screw but it still idles like 1300 or more (cant tell no tach).

my second problem was that i had aftermarket tach on my 95 civic dx and when i did a swap, it doesnt read anymore so i dont know where to coonnect the wire to read.

Try cleaning the FITV (click here).

The blue wire from the igniter unit in the distributor provides the tach signal.
