Im wondering if anyone knows the anwser to this question....Heres what happened to me.

I was at the junk yard and I saw what appeared to be a 96 or 97 hatch with the drivers side interior quarter panel laying in the back....I was like sweet! I need that! So I grabbed it up.

A few months later I go to put my interior back together on my 97 hatch and, what do ya know? Just my fu#kin luck....It doesnt even come close to lining up! The panel is exactly as it should be except for the front piece that rolls over the frame (where the rear seat sets) is completely different.


Heres my question, WTF did I buy? Do interior panels in the 96-98 differ from the 99-00 EK hatchback? Or did I get some canadian interior panel?

 

USDM and CDM Civics are essentially identical besides the trim labels on them.

96-98 does not differ from 99-00 in respect to interior panelling. I think the only difference on the interior is the climate control.

 

I maybe mistaken but 96-00 civic hatch have same panels.Sure u didnt pick one up for a 92-95 model? Pic?

 

No im not sure because I didnt physically take the panel off an EK it was just laying in the back of an EK sooooo.......One would assume it came from that car, Considering it looked exactly the same as the one I pulled out of mine until I put the two side by side and like I said the only difference was where the seat frame starts to go up (if you have the rear seat out the seat frame slants up on both sides) This quarter I got did not compensate for that slant up.

I hacked the fu#kin thing up and it fits perfect now...But im still confused as to why I had to do that?

sorry.. I got to junk yards all the time and I they always put things in the back trunk if they change their mind or something.. but you might have a 92-95 civic or a 96-00 civic but its a coupe.

 

does it have a cup holder?

 

Nope no cup holder.

The quarter from a 96-00 coupe wouldnt have the slots for the fold down seats...would they?

i know coupes have pockets/cup holders in em
