Default Is an ebay exhaust worth it???

I just picked up a civic cx hatch shell basically to drop my z6 in and sell the car...but I don't have an exhaust, I'm thinking about getting an ebay bolt on full exhaust to just sell the car will these last awhile or are they just big piles of S**T?

eBay has its own brand of exhaust? Sweet.

If you're just going to sell the car, get a stock exhaust.

i wouldnt run the muffler but i picked up a 2 3/4'' stainless cat back, just for the piping. im going to throw a flow master muffler on it. it came with a fart can but the bends are mandrel and all tig welded and it fits good to boot.

I bought a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust for about $225, was actually like 2.35 when i measured it. The thing started to show rust spots after a year, but fit perfectly. I threw a vibrant flat black muffler on and it was LOUD.

If you decide to go that route, get some rust protection and a new muffler. I wouldnt buy it again because I now know that an Apexi WS2 can be had for $380 new.

yeah but what sucks about most exhaust shops is that they do crush bent piping which sucks.. for instance lets say you want 2.5" piping all the way. When they pick up a steel to bend, they usually crush bent the piping to make it turn. Therefore on those bent parts you get 2.0" instead of 2.5" piping all the way..

If your just selling the car, go the cheapest route possible, list it as "jdm stainless racing type r exhaust". Every village has an idiot, maybe you can find one with money.

btw, that "304-stainless" everyone lists, its just a coating over aluminized steel (in ref. to cheap ebay stuff)

the ebay exhaust i bought was super light but the muffler felt like something was holding me back when i took off and throughout all rpms and on the freeways it was so deep i couldnt hear my radio or people talking lol so i cut the muffler off and put a better muffler now more power and its loud as hell when floored but on the freeway i could hear again piping is decent but as foar as the muffler cheap piece of crap like worse than a glass pack, but if you selling it find someone who is trashing a stock exhaust for free like i did i trashed mine

I've got one off ebay. Just make sure that the seller is a good merchant with many years and tons of sales and the quality of the metal is great. for the low prices you could always modify if it doesnt fit to your liking. mine cost about 150 compared to 900 for spoon mugen or toda

...that is, IF the piping is of good, quality construction.

but you can't ever tell, so it's a hit-and-miss.

The cheapest way will be to find a used stock exhaust at the junkyard near you. It will probably cost you around $50 max.
