Everything I have ever read about F1 stuff has been bad, I have zero experience with the product, I do use exedy clutches though, the one your looking at is a fake, but ive found even those hold up decent under normal driving conditions. If you plan to launbch the car at any point in time though it will get greasy after a few launches
The (edit: Real) Exedy is a great clutch.
I would add a scattershield if you want that flywheel. I might be ok with an ebay header/CAI, but a flywheel is a different ballgame.
Your car/leg.
Good eye on the faker

The OE replacement is a quality clutch meant for normal replacements, not racing. The stage 1 is an excellent clutch for the price.

best bet when talking about something like this is, drop the serious money on the clutch its just like pistons and stuff like that do it right the first time and make sure its a very good clutch company and same with flywheel, but if it was just an intake, hell its just piping and a filter. do some looking around. i dont really refer to doing it ebay. some of the people who ship on ebay do not know how to properly wrap and ship things like this, after you drop a clutch its done and headed to the trash can. but keep your eye out. go to exedys website, read about what stages are for what.
and thank you for someone posting that stage one is not an OEM replacment, i thought it was. i mean i have a stage 2 ACT clutch in my EM1 and i love it. same with the fidanza lightweight flywheel. never had a problem with eather, and using sycro-mesh lube in the tranny flawless shifts with the B&M straight short throw.

. Exedy is a known name brand that's been around forever REMEMBER. TAKE IT EASY THE FIRST 500 MILES. NO BURNOUTS!!! UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE CHANGING YOUR CLUTCH AGAIN.
i'm another exedy happy customer. had it in for about 9 months and its doing really well. it'll take the abuse, grab properly and great for DD IMO
If you go on to exedy's site, they actually have pictures and such of fake clutches and flywheels, difference in the rivets and stuff. I have used real and fake exedy clutches and in all honesty they were both excellent. I havent bumped up to anything crazy, nothing beyond "stage 2" but I hav a few friends with the fakes and all works well, its about what you would expect from a stage 1 or oem replacement.
this is correct, that clutch is not a fake. just an OE. i'd buy a different flywheel though. the fidanza or exedy flywheels are better pieces. also the OE clutch will hold up fine in lower HP non R compound tire apps.
ive been lookin for a clutch for my new sol tht i just bought and was wonderin if NE one has ran the F1 brand clutches??? they go for a pretty cheap price and wanted know if they are pretty good or not worth it... ive heard that 240's usually use em when the driver is into driftin just not sure how they are with hondas... thanks for any info

I been using F1 stage 2 clutch for about a year now on my stock 95 civic d16z6 and put approx 10 to 12k on it. It has a nice clamp sorce than stock for sure kinda jerky and not as comfortable "expected for aftermarket"
Now here's the thing are you boosted or N/a?
If you're just pushing 160 - 170hp it will hold up, but more than that the thing will slip like a ****. I just found that out today after pushing 14psi on my z6, although it was holding up upto 12psi with my tiny mazdaspeed turbo i just havent dyno it yet. It hit 13.8 @102 on 14" steelies 1/4 mile so im guessing 190 - 170 to the wheels?
Personally I will consider getting F1 clutch again you cant beat the price, but i will get 6 puck next at the least for my set-up.
It will work no doubt just get 6 puck is my opinion. Goodluck!
i bought a oem exedy clutch on ebay about a year back. works perfectly no problems. never launched on the clutch yet. i also have a no brand 7 1/2 lbs flywheel too. it was resurfaced when i changed the clutch. really good for dd. i also do not got pass 4k rpm either. btw i have a 2000 civic d16y8 with 314,xxx miles

Check them out. When I got my Comp Clutch/Fidanza setup, it was cheaper from that site than even eBay. Also, all of their parts are legit, and their customer service is quite possibly the best I've ever dealt with.
