Default spoiler question.

I have a deck lid spoiler on my car (came with it when the car was bought) but i want to take it off to put a regular spoiler on. I know that the deck lid is bolted/screwd on and was wondering if thw holes could be fixed so that they are not visible with the new spoiler on or do i have to buy a new trunk? any one know?
thanks

It has about 15 holes, so unless you want to weld and repaint the trunk, just trade or buy a new one.

Good Idea, never thought of it. although i dout it, does any one want to trade a taffeta white trunk with the deck lid spoiler for one that does't or already has a spoiler willing to pay alittle more and the trade.

thats the deck lid spoiler.

getting the holes welded, then sanding em and painting isnt too hard, and relatively cheap.

What exactly constitutes as a "regular" spoiler?

Why wouldn't the flat SI spoiler cover the holes? Honda usually puts dimples on their deck lids to accommodate any spoiler they sell for a particular model.

Ok so I have a coupe so maybe this doesn't apply to you but I took my lip spoiler off and added the Si spoiler to mine. There is 8 holes behind the lip (on the coupe) and there are dimples as mentioned earlier in the post. The only dimple that doesn't exist is the middle one which can be lined up very easily. I wanted the Si spoiler instead of the lip and I have atomic blue so theres no chance for an Si trade. Taffy there is. Post on 8thcivic.com Im sure someone may want to trade. Good luck...

cus the lip has holes on the back and top of the trunk if i remember correctly, and the sedan si spoiler only covers the top
