I am in the process of doing a semi EF9 Conversion on my 1990 Civic Si. I just purchased a JDM EF9 Front End. Then I saw an ad on Craigslist for EF9 rear bumper for cheap. It ended up being an USDM 89' Si Rear bumper, so I bought it anyways. My question is, what side molding's should I get? 89 USDM or JDM ones? Will they match? I want to have the red pin stripe all the way around.

 

not 100% but believe usdm ones are fater the jdm ones seem to be thin in the stripe.

 

They look almost the same except the JDM ones are thinner. Since you have the JDM front and the 88-89 usdm rear you need to use JDM or 88-89 moldings to make everything flow front front to rear.

 

If I get the JDM side moldings will it throw off the 88-89 USDM Rear? Or should I get the 88-89 USDM side moldings? Are they both equal size?

 

It will look fine with the JDM moldings or USDM. The differences are real subtle. Iam sure the USDM's are cheaper and you can probably find them new.

 

Anybody know where I can get 88-89 Side Moldings for cheap?
