Ok i cant decide on Ctr pistons or Itr pistons for my b16a with buddy club spec 3 cams, race header, intake, exhaust, obd1 h22 injectors, and hondata to tune. and ideas on which would be better and why. This is my DD as well.

ITR (USDM or JDM) or P30. While CTR (PCT) pistons will work, the compression height isn't really correct, and the high domes add needless weight and surface area, making them less efficient than the others. Ask Omni.

With the short stroke of the B16a, you will want to run CTR pistons over ITR to maximize performance with those cams. ITR pistons in a B16a is actually lowering compression over stock PR3 pistons IIRC.

That is what i was told on another forum

So use JDM P30 pistons and/or mill the head, and/or use a GSR head.

Omni is Steve 'Omniman' Rothenbueller (I've probably misspelled his last name); he's a pro who's likely forgotten more about engine-building than most here will ever know.
