I have a 94 prelude si and i'm going to be undergoing the swap process with the JDM H22a with LSD Tranny. What I wanted to know is, is it worth it to change the clutch to stage one and get a lightweight flywheel? Any difference in acceleration or power with these on and what brand I should go for; this is going to be my DD. I Will be adding an AEM V2 intake in the mix with innovative 95a motor mounts.

what's the best setup for a 4th gen prelude with the JDM H22A? Exedy stage one, and Fidanza 8 pound flywheel? Also at what RPM is it best to launch the car from a dig? and whats the RPM Redline on this engine?
I went with a exedy racing stage 1, act STREETlite FW, and the softer innovative mounts. I wouldnt get them that stiff if your not pushing at least 300 whp. I cant judge the difference bit I havent had a problem with any of the parts, and I beat the **** out of the clutch at the track. I've put about 15K miles and several drag racing events without a single problem.
Ohh yeah, whatever you go with, make sure you get a OEM HONDA throw out bearing. Mine sounds like a cricket. The stock clutch is probaly more reliable too.

I heard the JDM H22A has a governor which makes the car stay at 115MPH, which is with the p13 ecu. What I wanted to know is what you guys are running for setups on chipping this ecu to get rid of the governor.
You can get an ecu from phearable.net or somewhere similier. They can chip your ecu to remove the 115 mph speed limit, raise you fuel cut, and change about 25 other things. Like mine has a 2-step launch control so all i have to do is floor it and it stays at 5k rpm then I just launch from there. 5K is a good spot to launch from but its different for every setup. You'll need at least some drag radials since traction is a major issue. Also the phearable ecu has a CEL shift light, so when you get to the preset rpm of your choice the CEL comes on and you know to shift.

YEah just get the vtec OBDI ecu and make sure to give them all the info they need. Like the specific engine, what mods you have, and where you want the vtec/fuel cut etc. If your not sure where you want them set he can give you a recomended setup.
Does anyone have any questions when it comes to the ECU? Feel free to ask away so I can enlighten you. If you are going to do any upgrades then a obd2 to obd1 conversion goes without saying..also I used to have the Hondata s200 chipped p72...i loved it...very versatile...plus if you are going that route make sure the ecu is also obd1 because Hondata doesnt really work the obd2 ecus

I have a European 97 Gen5 Prelude obd2 with a H22a 185bhp, I've just bought a complete intake manifold from an Accord Type r and I'm gonna need a new ECU to get the most out of it.
Can somebody here please give me some advice as to which ECU would be best for what I need?
Thank you.
I know this post is a hundred years old but I'm a new member here and I can't start threads yet!

I'm with him. You need to call whoever is going to tune your ecu and ask them what exactly you need. You don't want to spend money on an ecu and come to find out that your dyno guy only tunes Hondata or something with factory support.
