i have this really gay looking sunroof and i want it gone. whats the best way to get rid of it and have it best replaced. can i get a piece of sheetmetal welded over it or should i just replace the roof?

well i wouldnt weld anything over it but as far as removing the sunroof and welding in a piece would probley be your best bet. i dont know how cheap getting a whole rough is, but if you know a body man thats the route i would go. then get a new headliner

 

i used to have a sunroof bro, just sold it like 2 weeks ago pretty cheap and in excellent condition no rust

i would say you should get a new roof, the cost maybe very close to just having a body guy do it.

im not sure where you are at, but in socal they charge 1k for a whole new setup installed professionaly with full warrenty.

 

i have the VERY VERY Exact sunroof and i hate the piece of **** it leaks all the time but the easiest way to fix it bro is what im bout to do to mine which is and called a ROOF SKIN u need to find a donor crx that's maybe been creamed with a good roof what u replace on the roof is where the 2 little black strips are on the roof by the doors u peel those off the roof is spot welded and glued threw that area and u have to take a air chisel and basically cut all that out and around windshield and the whole roof comes out like a big piece skin if u just cut the whole roof suggested take it to a body shop and let them take that off and do it to your car would be the easiest

 

i would get the motorized sun roof, all you would need is to remove the headliner replace the old sunroof run the wires down the piller to under the dash, add the switch to the dash, and plug it in to the fuse block.
