Default Intake question

hey guys just got paid and i'm really bored. i wanna buy something new for my DC and an intake is wat i'm leaning toward. i mean everybody says to just buy a K&N filter and swap it with old filter but i was wondering is there a difference between that and buying a whole new short ram? either ways the filter is CARB exempt and street legal but if i get a JDM big ALIEN looking intake will that mess up my chances with the cops rather than just putting a new filter onto my intake right now?

Well to answer your question if cops see it don't have the CARB exempt on the intake they may give you a ticket depending on the cop.Just get a new filter GL.

There is a difference in intakes. The js racing makes more power than your conventional intake. Adding a velocity stack has proven to increase power as well. It all depends on what you want and how much your willing to risk it with the cops...im from jersey so i have no problems with cops but it all depends on where you live.
