Default Need some help, starting issues

Sometimes i'm having starting problems. It keeps spinning and spinning. I swapped my main relay from my old civic, put a new distributor and new spark plugs/plug wires. I was having this issue about a month ago so I replace these things. My check engine light came on after I changed the distributor. Could the distributor be the problem again? The car will crank and it will start eventually, it wouldn't start all day yesterday and I went outside today and it started first try. Once I start it's fine until I leave it sitting for a few days.

Yeah if you can get the code pulled we will be able to help more. I would bet its a fuel delivery problem as well. When it sits for a few days do you let the fuel prime or just put the key in and crank? In the mean time before you get it fixed, try priming it.

How can I get the code? No, I don't let the fuel prime I just put the key in and crank. So would you prefer changing the fuel filter? Why would the check engine light be on? It came on after the distributor was installed. It crank right on up today no problem at all! I'm clueless on this!!!

Forgot to ask, is it obd 1 or obd 2? Just try priming it if it doesn't fire right up.

Try this to get the code: http://www.hondasociety.com/board/sh...d.php?t=127443

I can say i scanned my check engine codes the other day, I have a JDM D15B which is throwing code 43, the engine is pretty much new and runs like a champ. Sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't and only crank. So what i recommend is changing your fuel filter (right of the battery usually) since it could be clogged or your pump has gone bad. do you notice any bogging when it does start?

The check engine light sometimes comes on right when I crank it but sometimes it doesn't and comes on after I drive like 15 minutes or so. It's not bogging and the I can hear the fuel pump cut on. I have another fuel pump that was new off my total civic.

I'm not sure if it's an obd 1 or obd 2. It's a 95 civic with a D16Z6. I'm really not Honda smart but I know certain things.

I was looking at the FAQ's and it said long blinks and short blinks on the cel, how many seconds apart from each other?

I really appreciate the help on the info you guys are giving to figure this problem out!

My speed sensor and my vtec solenoid is bad. I wasn't sure how to do the ecu so I asked a friend since he's a mechanic and he showed me.

We changed the fuel filter. Like someone said on here, he told me
when the car sits a few days prime it first then start it.

Thanks for the help!!!
