Spherical Bushings Durability
I'd like to hear some experiences regarding the longitivity of spherical bushings on your suspension components. Can they sustain a considerable amount of abuse? Same as a poly or hard rubber bushing?
I have had a few different SB in my car for 2 or 3 seasons of racing. They are all fine.
But if you buy cheap/shitty SBs they aren't going to last..
I think the one of the alphabet soap EVOs has them stock.
PS poly IS NOT durable.

I have the PCI spherical bushings that Special Projects MS sell in my rally car and after 3 or 4 rallies, with lots of rocks, bumps, jumps, and stumps and they're still perfect with no play. Recommended.
I have some PCI Spherical RTA bearings with a lot of dd miles and they are fine.

I have the PCI rear trailing arm bearings in stock and I have just recieved my latest shipment of the sealed HARDRACE Spherical, or the Hard rubber types. Whatever you prefer or whatever your application, I have the answer.

That is the 1 exact reason why Jess is one of my sponsors! There is nothing he cant help me out with. Hard Race products are definitely top notch and i need to throw on some spherical rear camber/toe kits. Jeff?
I tried to get hardrace sphericals for my ITR rear LCAs about a year ago. I was told that they didn't offer them because the ITR bushings were too small to come in spherical. Jeff, do you have ITR rear LCA spherical bearings from another manufacture?
For the OP, I have sphericals in my front UCAs, inner front LCAs, rear camber arm, rear toe arm, RTA, and currently working on rear LCAs. I've been daily driving on them for about a two years now and they've held up pretty well. It's killer driving over reflectors on the freeway though.
Like slammed mentioned, some EVOs have spherical bearings in their suspension stock. So does the STi. However, they are all sealed, which should improve longevity.
My experience with poly hasn't been as good. I had poly in my compliance bushings and front fork mounts. The poly compliance bushings permanently distorted, which I replaced with Mugen hard-rubber. And the poly fork mounts wore out to the point where there was excessive play (also replaced with Mugen hard-rubber). The hard-rubber has also held very well for the last two years.
