Default Please god someone help me. Main bearing issue

So today i got my $150 main bearings for my motor. Guess what wrong ones again. Now i'm really pissed so i first measure my d16a6 block on the ground for height then i measure the motor on my engine stand and they were the same so i went to oriellys where i know they have all the specs for the main and rod bearing and journals(because honda only knows colors :pissed: ) So me and nick at oriellys and my crank and my main girdle start doing some figuring. My crank has a standard d16 sized rod journal but the crank journal is only reading a d15 size which is way smaller. So i went back and check on line on wikipedia for the honda d series for p08 (since that's the only block stamp i have on my motor because the block code was ground off) and i found that the japanese d15b also has the same stroke of a d16 motor but it doesn't list if the main journals are the same.
The guy i ordered my rods and pistons from(FJ Distributors) sell custom length rods for both the d16 and the d15b because sapposedly "These rods were designed Specifically to run the Vitara pistons into
D15/D16 engines. When you use standard length (137mm) rods with
Vitara pistons, the pistons will go up pass above the deck height (JDM D15)." and that is right off off http://fjdistributors.com
Can someone help me out with this cause this is starting to make me mad. Can someone please post some specs of d15b main journals.

if it was me i would get a 30$ set of acl's for the mains and see if that gets you in the ball park. if i does then you know what mains you need. or have a machine shop measure for you.
also im no d-guy but i have seen people wanting o buy those d15 crank,[maybe to stroke there d15 block]

the d15 crank should destroke it but even still you would have to use d15 rods as well where as my crank has d15 mains and d16 rods

Sounds like you have a jdm b15b vtec block. They have d15 main journals, d16 rod journals and stroke. They use standard d16 rods too I believe. Get yourself a set of acl d15 main bearings and d16 rod bearings. Im sure fj distributors will sell you what you need.

A good thread about your engine.

I called fjt yesterday and he did confirm my suspicions about my motor being a d15b i asked him what i should do about my rod situation since i got his extended length rods for a d16 vitara setup and he said to just send them back and he will send the extended length rods for the d15b no charge. Thumbs up to fjt and i will do business with him again
