Did the AP2 every come with all red interior? I am currently looking to purchase a white AP2 with red interior, but it seems like impossible to find!

How expensive and hard would it be to buy and swap to red?

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

 

In the US the only years that came with the all red interior weer 02-03. Most of those cars are silver (FYI there is one on ebay). There were some GPW and BB with all red but there very hard to find.

The 04-05 AP2 did have an all red interior option but only in the UK and still, very rare!

If you really want all red in your AP2 you will probably have to find someone with the AP1 interior who is willing to swap with you. I would be willing to bet that might be pretty hard. I myself plan on picking up an AP2 and swapping the red from my current BB AP1.

 

Oh if I were to ever sell my all red interior I would ask at LEAST twice as much then standard black. Red seats and carpet are no thing, all the plastics and dash are what really bring in the $$$.

Yea, GPW AP2 w/all red you will not find. BUT, I would post up that you want to trade for full AP1 red interior. Someone would totally swap their full AP1 red for AP2 black/tan (assuming that is what you have since you say GPW AP2). The '04-'05 came with black/red. It looks pretty sharp, but I like black/tan better.

Make a post on here as well as: S2KI.com, S2000.com, S2Kca.com, Craigslist, etc..

I just recently traded my '03 all black w/ a guy who had '03 tan/black. I was hoping to find someone with an AP2, but oh well.

As far as I know I am the only person who frequents this site with all red interior. I also don't think there are that many people who will trade there all red for any color AP2 interior. Unless it was brown/black maybe... I will trade for brown! (FYI it's an 08+ UK only color)

 

I also have all red, but am not willing to let it go. All red in a GPW car is such a nice combo though, good luck finding someone to swap.

Personally I'm not a big fan of the all red, I'd much rather have black/red. I know its not the "cool" rare thing, but maybe its rare for a reason.

 

I totally agree. The full red interior is what prevented me from purchasing the first 3 S2000's I came across when searching for a low mileage '03.

It was just "too much". But to each his own.

 

I gladly drove 400 miles up to PA to buy my black and all red. It was the only one I could find at the time for sale on the east coast after months of searching.

 

I have an 08 GPW with black/red interior, and I love it! The only thing I changed was the floor mats. I replaced the red mats with the black ones. Looks clean. Some thought there was too much red on the floor area, since the carpert is red as well so I tried the black ones But I like all red too. It's cool cuz now I can choose

I also want to change my door panels. I once saw a 2007 GPW on ebay, same interior as mine but the door panels were red instead of all black! (only the leather part, not the entire door) Looked very nice, like a combo of ap1 and ap2. I thought all ap2 GPWs came with black door panels?

the tan interior was available in the u.s. with the white exterior.

WRONG WRONG WRONG. 01-02 is wrong. 01's have the plastic window, no all red interior came on any s2000s with with plastic window.

The all red interior was an option for the 02/03, and came with silver, berlina black, and grand prix white.
