I just recently bought a Complete B18A1 from 1990 and I cannot seem to find the vin on the motor??? Should it be right above the oil pan? I got a bill of sale for it but we wrote down the 7 digit number under the block code and another code that the head had. But I cannot seem to find the vin on this motor. Does it have one?

I have never seen one on the 90-92 engines.

i have a ls out of a 91 and there isnt a vin either. im almost positive the older cars didnt vin the engines.. i just dont know what year they started..
