Stone Chips!! Lots of stone Chips. OP?
Hey everyone. i am in the process of getting my civic ready for paint. i have welded body tin into the holes and filled them with fiber glass. anyways what im asking about is on my hood i have more stone chips then i can count. if i were to fill them all with bondo i would be looking at probly over a quarter of my hood covered, also the entire front lip of the hood where it meets the bumper is chipped away really bad. what should i do? should i go ahead and paint over the little chips and purchase a carbon hood so i wont have to paint it? or should i spend the extra time and bondo it all? will it crack if the hood is slammed to hard? please post with your opinions because at this time im at a complete stop as to what i should do. thanks everyone.
sand it. get a DA sander. start with 80 grit til it start to feather out. then hit it with 180 then use 320. or u can just go straight to 320 but it will take longer. or you can just use it as an excuse to get a carbon fiber hood.
yea lol thanks guys. theres a million of them so i think a CF hood is the way to go. i might just do a half assed spot putty job and paint it stolen bicycle black until i can get a carbo one. thanks
