what needed to rebuilt a 96 gsr alternator?

My alternator went out so i want to rebuilt it.
What do I need?

craigslist and $25?

or

hmotorsonline and $50

or your local parts store and $150 for a reman.

i haven't seen rebuild kits for these like say a 1989 corvette where you can rebrush yourself.

I think it would be cheaper to buy a new one? like go to a junk yard and just take one if you are so in need and have no money?

I agree. Its not worth spending the time and money to rebuild one. You should just find a used working one.

we have a place called redhot battery that rebuilds them for 30 bucks.

Just get a new one and scrap the old one for copper.
