welded in 1/4 panel replacements, need help!
lright, I think I may have screwed myself... read on
here is the pass side I stripped somewhat bare

look at the crappy patches/holes from pulling lil dings/dents prior
and here is where I'm worried I screwed myself over. I cut out the drivers side 1/4 panel fine, the inner wheel well lip was pretty rotted out, I made a new piece over for by the tail light but that is is.

inside view

outside, the 2 circles are where the puny sheetmetal got too hot and warped a tad.

half of it was overlapped and some of it was butt welded to fit correctly, my cutting wasnt too hot as you can see.

and here is what worries me, see thats the inner wheel well lip circled, the semi-rusted looking metal area poking thru, I havent tacked that back back to the new wheel arches yet, I dont really ewant to, i was wondering if I could just seam seal it, as its very thin from grinding out the rust/etc...
I read up of a guy where I got the tutorial used a 3m sealant/panel adhesive to bond the inner wheelwell lip and the new outer metal/seal it fromt he elements... but I'm not a bodyguy so please help!

cut that lip off and cut a new one to fit. you can seam seal it or pannel bond but its only going to prolong the inevatable. Rust never sleeps you might as well do it right instead of doing it twice.
just a fyi the 3m panel bond number 8115 has no corrosion protection the new product the 8116 panel bond does i hope you are using new stuff
