Icon2 Is this plausible?

Wanting to put some Type S pistons and Type S cams (possibly s2 stg1's) in my 5th gen. Im guessing I would need something to tune it on (suggestions??). I have about 1k to spend on parts and labor. Is that possible? Also, would I even see moderate performance gains? (i.e. is it even worth it?) Mods on car now are CAI, RSR exhaust, Random tech Hiflow cat, and Mugen header. Thanks in advance.

Type-S cams $475+shipping

Type-S pistons $200 shipped

you're at say $700 there. i don't even know if you can get them installed for that since you need to pull the engine and hone the cylinders. still tuning is out of the question at that point.

Well from what I have searched here, tuning on an auto is pretty limited anyway. Either e-manage or vafc is about the only way to go. Without a proper tune, gains would be minimal. Honestly Id rather spend it on my VFR anyway as shelling out the extra $$ just to tune on a vafc is pretty pointless.
