are these the same? the civic type r replica rear lip for the coupes? i keep thinking its different. but are they the same? i have a 96 rear bumper with a ctr rear lip on it. but its plastic and i want a ploy one. ebay sells it but they keep showing the 99 rear bumper. so im hopin its the same. any help will be great. thankz ppls

 

no. they are different. The bumpers from 96-98 to 99-00 were different.

Replicas are probably the same for '96-'98 and '99-'00 sometimes, and are probably different for '96-'98 and '99-'00 sometimes.

It's really difficult to say with certainty that they're all the same or they're different when you have so many aftermarket companies producing similar products out there.

You might need to modify the replica lip to make it fit another year bumper, but I wouldn't think it's impossible and I wouldn't worry about tearing it up a bit to make it work. It's not like they're in limited quantities, hard to get a hold of or particularly expensive.

Worse comes to worst, the '99-'00 coupe/sedan rear bumper fits on the '96-'00 coupe/sedan no problem.
