anyone use 2 autolocks?
Or $200 for the old Viper 5900.
Then toss in a battery backup, and a bit of wire and wire loom, you'll be relatively secure. Definitely important in a 6th generation Honda Civic Si.

And I got a comparable DEI alarm (avital 4400) w/2-way, remote start, keyless for half that off ebay. But you don't get a warranty, and risk getting a knock-off (much more true for the Viper brand).
Honestly if someone is going to cut through 1 autolock, they'll spend the extra time to do it a 2nd time. If you want more 'simple' security, spend the money on a wheel lock. Otherwise a decent alarm & decent install will thwart all but the best theives.

i used to have a good chunk of faith in my autolocks, until i locked up my 240sx with it on a roadtrip. too bad i left the key on my integra keyset which was at home. the locksmith guy defeated it pretty quickly.
PM me if you want to know how he did it so you can protect your car better. no lurkers/noobs will be responded to. no big torture device or other big tools were used. no freon or freezing either.
I still use my autolock, albeit with a little less faith, but knowing its main weakness also helps with its difficulty in its forced removal.
