2006 civic SI need a replacement master key
I bought a civic si used, came only with valet key. So i have to go in my car all the time o open my trunk. I installed a Compustar 2 way other day and thought that the remote would be programmed with the trunk too but the guy told me he would need a master key. I see replacement keys selling with the trunk release, my question is, do you have to do a separate programming from the programming of the key less unlock/lock feature?
i think there is a way for the dealer to program a regular key to any car.
all u have to do is bring your registration and your license to the dealer to get a replacement key, and have them program the keyless entry to the car.

Expect to pay $150+ for keys AND programming. Programming includes the immobilizer and remote entry, and these CANNOT be programmed by yourself.
I never had to provide any information regarding the car when I had mine programmed.

x3 on going to the dealer. be sure you get the valet key that you already have reprogrammed at the same time because it won't work after if you don't, the code changes every time they reprogram it.
yea thats kinda weird about buying an si with a valet key.
the original keys with the keyless entry features are like in the 80 dollar range from what i've heard
