Dies when i come to a stop 4th gen
h22a swap 92 prelude.
well this happened last night once after i fixed it my car. and now happened every time i stopped when i just went to walmart.
what it does is ill be driving and either let off the gas and push the clutch in to get ready to stop and it will die when im coasting or it will die when i am completely stopped with the brake and the clutch pressed in. and then it will take a few times to start the car. the oil light comes on and then the battery light comes on and those are the only 2 that come on. i also lose power steering.
that's about all there is to it. im kinda scared to drive now cuz i dont want it dying on a busy street.
i did do a valve adjustment and messed with the main relay to fix my other problem that day and all of a sudden this problem came up. i dont know if its just a coincidence or not.

i also just did a valve adjustment and this happened to me.
i havent had time to fix it but apparently the clearance i used was off.
MAKE SURE you use the right clearance. Check your service manual for this. or check these out.
If you check out the 2nd link, make sure you are in the H22 section, not F22 or H23.

also another question for you mrxero does it feel like you are missing a little lower end power at all? cuz i know i am and i dont know if its from that too.
now it feels like my gears are longer, so yeah MORE power loss Lol.
seems like we have the exact same problem.
what a coincidence. cant wait to get some time and fix this bisssh
i hope its my problem. i had a dude do it that worked for honda so i know he did it right. but we did it when the engine was warm so i think that was the problem. thats why it ran well when the car was warm but as soon as i drove it when it was cold it ran like poo.
yeah you NEVER want to adjust your valves on a warm motor. why? cause the settings you are adjusting are not right to start with due to thermal expantion. its best to do the adjustment first thing in the morning. you want the engine to be at ambent temp befor you start working on it.
so ya i did it 2 different times and still running the same...any other ideas. i fixed a problem that i had for 4 months and then 4 hours later a new problem comes.....wtf.
