Default need some info

hey whats up? i was asking around about how to make more hp out of my d16 non-vtec in my 99 hatch, and was told that i could swap the head to a vtec one the use 88-89 integra d16a1 factory pistons and get 12.6:1 compression or just swap in the integra pistons and get 11:1 compression which im told is close to that of a type-r motor. what i want to know is, is there any one who has done this and is the info i have been given accurate? hit me up in a pm with info, and anyother tips on producing more hp from my factory motor without turbo.

higher compression does mean more HP, dont know too much about the b16 block, i know the b16 vtec head is popular with frankensteins since it has a higher airflow capacity. if the b16 non vtec block has as higher displacemtn than the standard b16 vtec then slapping a vtec head on it will create more power, otherwise it will just turn it into a b16 vtec (which im guessing would still be more hp).
not sure of the actual compression numbers taht you'll get from using ones from different motors, i use welco pistons.
if your looking for other things for more power then you would probably want to get the standard bolt-ons and a tune, those would give u the most bang for your buck, especially a cold air intake, you can probably find a good one for 200 bux
