i can find the damn thermostat on my 95 integra ls auto. block says b18b1.i got it less than two weeks ago so im a def. noob at this.auto zone and a mechanic couldnt find it. we looked in the area circled but wasnt there.and the thermo housing wasnt circled, it was square-ish. oh and is the b18b1 the stock engine for these cars?

back behind and below the distributor at the lower radiator hose.

I'm guessing that's not your car, since that's a turbo Civic. Yes the B18B1 came in Integra LS's, but the valve cover in the pic above is from a 96-01 OBD2 B18B1 engine.

 

yea i took pics of my car and circled where i looked for it but couldnt find it. and as you can see the "thermo housing" is as wide as two of my fingers

 

i followed the other hose from the radiator to this

 

take the 10mm bolts off and its inside

 

yet that's it, make sure you put ground back on or your car won't start. good luck

i can't believe an autozone guy and a "mechanic" didn't know that 99% of thermostats are at the lower radiator hose's connection at the block. thats pretty sad... on the autozone worker, and don't let that "mechanic" touch your car
