Hello Folks,

I am a regular on HT and own a 2001 Honda Accord 5 speed currently. The other car in the family took a dump and I am now car shopping to replace it. I am considering both a automatic or manual trans Accord. That said I am leaning towards a automatic Accord as I have a manual already in the family.

I was thinking about buying a 2008 or 2009 but might expand the search to older Honda Accords.

My question this, I understand the 98-02 Accords had automatic trans issues and I heard that there were still lingering issues relating to the auto trans in the 2003-2004 models.

I am looking in the 2006-2007 years for that model(gen 7) did Honda fix the auto trans issues by 2006-2007? I like the looks of the 2006-07 car over the more rounded 2003-2005 models

Well as far as i know they did in 05 , there are no recalls for the 06-07 as of now, the 06-07 is very sweet, i have a 07 4dr, wat are ur plans for ur car, modifying or just family car, if not modifying the 06-07 v6 4dr would be the best bet, at 244hp ull feel pretty good..
