Default Question about Test Pipe or High Flow Cat?

What Cat would you recommend with a Toda Header and Fujitsubo RM01a exhaust combination? Obviously It would need to have 2.5" Collectors and an O2 bung but I want the best quality and fitment with these parts. Can anyone help me here please? Thank you

I went with the password test pipe since it was adjustable and cheap.

Right on, did you get a check engine light with it?

i have the T1R test pipe with a TODA header. it is my first test pipe, i think the finish and fitment is good, but other than that, i cant tell if is good or not.
yes, you will get a check engine light.
i had to weld a bung in it and did the O2 extension trick and that solved the check engine light issue.

if i would do it again, i will probably get a 2.5" collector cat. not test pipe.

If you want a stock like cat that'll open up a bit more power and keep relatively the same sound level, look into SMSP. He has many tests with his high flow cats to help you best choose one to your liking.

Thanks for this link, these look great do they make one JDM length with o2 bung and 2.5" Collectors? Also I really like the Random Technology Cats but I don't see they offer one for the Type R.

Dave, at SMSP, will make a cat to any length desired. Just call him up if you're serious and he'll get you taken care of.

Carsound SMSP Cat,Dave'll hook u up! Can't go wrong, had mine for 4 years/10k miles and very happy with it! Best part is you won't pollute like a Test-pipe and won't stink up at red lights causing your girl a headache

Right on, is this Carsound the same as this one http://inlinefour.com/carunhigcatc.html ?
Is this one a good one to buy I really like how it has the o2 Bung, 2.5" Collectors and is the same size as JDM Cat.

I'm running a SMSP cat. OBD2, I even had Dave add an extra bung out to the side for the wideband when tuning.

I have tried to email Dave but the email address on the site must be wrong because it keeps being returned undelivery notice.

Before you run out and buy a carsound cat, search around. They had a bad failure rate for a while. Rattle cans that pieces would fall out of the muffler.

Don't get test pipes. The air is dirty enough without polluting it with your car's emissions.

I have the exact same header and exhaust as you. After going thru several test pipes and 02 sim fixes I switched to a SMSP racing convertor and it has been the best move I could have made for my exhaust set up.

smsp modifies carsound cats so they won't give is as easily, and does a hell of a job at that.
Also one of the better mods i own.
