Default Upper A-Arm options.

There arent that many out there, and am wondering which ones are the best quality. Im on the brink of having my wheels clear and I think a little less camber would be the ticket im looking for.

I realize the wheel isnt exactly the best choice, and I got greedy with wanting to have a wider track and larger tires, without worrying to much about fitment. Now im just trying to work with what I have.

Special Projects/Hardrace seems to look like the best piece so far, not to mention the following here in the RR/AX forum. Then there are the Buddy Clubs and the Skunk2.

I have since raised the car a tad higher, but am still worried about contact upon suspension compression.

Any input or experience with the forementioned products would be greaty appreciated.

If you're looking to run less camber, i would take advantage of the Hard Race upper a-arms with PCI offset bronze bushing kit, offering more caster.

Contact Jeff @ Special Projects MS for more info. Let him know Charles set you over.

Do those hook up a lot better than 205's with the extra power?

I use SPC part #72160 aluminum upper arms. Got about 1 additional degree of positive caster and about -3.6 to -3.8 degrees camber.

That looks like you WILL contact the fender, and pretty hard. The SPC units are super nice, and the Skunk2...not so much. Definitely at your ride height, the Skunk2s will contact the top of the shock tower. I haven't personally used the other pieces you mentioned, but I know the Special Projects stuff is supposed to be nice, and those guys know what they're doing.

Why'd you pick such a tall tire? Or was that a package deal or something.

Didnt want to run a different compound (probably stupid I know), and was a bit arrogant in my choice and thinking of how it would fit. And it is the only 225 size they offer.

I talked to kiwi and do have the special projects arms on the way.

i have skunk2s and unless you're running serious springs, those are gonna hit.

rather than buying something else, i've just raised it up a bit a bought higher rates this season i'll dial it in to the perfect height, but damn, what a pita. stay away from skunk2s.

When I say Special Projects I mean Hardrace sorry for the confusion.

I believe front springs are ~650.

As for raising it I already have, and the car looks goofy as it sits now because my daily wheels are normal sized.

I just hope this extra track/tire is worth it and it rotates better. Stupid impulse buys, I could have done other things with this money.

Its an old thread but yes I rolled the fenders. You my not have to with a +40 but make sure the +40 wheels arent to close to the rear trailing arm.

Since this was bumped I will let everyone know that I had those tires on for maybe a week and went to a proper sized tire.
