Anybody out there have a ring and pinion gear set for a CRX HF.? I believe that it is either a 2:75 or a 3:25 ratio. I am building a CRX for max MPG and need that low gearing. New would be great, used is fine, even a re-buildable core would be fine. Are there any other 5 speed transmissions with low gear ratios that will bolt in place of the OEM CRX trans ? Maybe a civic ? Any help would be appreciated

 

Check out the hydro CX trans from the 92-95 Civic. Extremely long gear ratios. It was terrible, I couldn't wait to get that thing out fo the car.
