Default 1/0 gauge

isnt that it? (0/1 or is it 1/0) anyways i was wondering if this is ok to run from my battery to the rear hatch of my car. read other threads and searched ppl said to get 2 gauge but i have never seen that b4. i am going to be running the kicker kx800.2 that is 800 watts rms at 2 ohms. and going to get a good two channel in the future so i do need to run 1/0 gauge wires but can i do this is the question. will the thick wire fit uner carpet and panels or do i have to get serperate battery?

id suggest a different setup amp wise
your electrical system is gonna be hurtin if go with what you have planned.

also 1/0 is like garden hose. its a serious bitch to run / try to hide / etc.
anyways though, if you're set on that amp id suggest you just do dual runs of 4awg, that should be more than enough and probably invest in a high output alternator and possibly a second battery while you're at it

well i have zero gauge in my car and it isnt all that bad you just need to be creative in the way you run it you cannot just run it down the side panels as it is very lagre and may not allow you to put things back to gether proprley mainly the rear side panels but if you take your time and take out you passanger seat and rear seats youll be able to run that cable under the seats and carpet without alot of "lumps" as for the two 4 gauges i think that will coast you more money in the end simple fact youll have to buy 2 fuse hoders and like twice as much wire which will not support as much as you one zero gauge wire 2 four gague wires only equal to a two gauge wire NOT zero plus with the zero youll always have enough wire as for the two battery thing you can do that but youll need to isolate the front battery from the rear battery when the car isnt running lol so you can start it if your running your system hard when your car isnt running

dual runs of 4awg should be more than enough for pretty well any setup. i wouldnt even think of 1/0 unless you're running 1500+ watts
and 1/0 dist blocks / connectors are pretty pricey. if you go with 4awg welding cable it shouldnt end up costing too too much at all

and as far as what i said about considering a different amp... the 800.2 is a class a/b amp and likely pretty underrated... say 1000 watts, at 50% efficiency you'd probably be drawing somewhere in the range of 120-160 amps

and whats a stock integra alternator? like 65-70 amps?

for subs try looking for a class d amp. they're a lot more efficient, your battery will thank you

so when i do run dual 4 gauge i run it like a single 4 gauge as in both from the battery and two fuse blocks to the distributor and run another 4 gauge into my amp for subs and the other to the amp for somps? when you do run your power wire you keep then seperate from the siganl and the rca. also will 2 4gauge wires run under my side panels or do i run one under the center counsel and the other one under the side panle or will both fit uner the side panel?

stinger makes a dual fuse distro block that you can use under the hood, and it looks pretty cool
