Post Honda Del Sol Upgrades

Hello All, I'm planning on getting a del sol in about 2 monthes. Having about $1000 to spend on it for extras, what should i first upgrade?

Walbro Fuel pump
Get some 16" Black or Gold Rota slipstreams
Lower it
Mini-me z6 Head Swap
Just some ideas.....let me get your input please!

Hopefully i'll find a decently swapped one with a b16, or ls. But the majority are d15b7's and possibly d16's, not really looking to turbo it.

Thanks Peeps.

Oh and the stereo department will be covered, since i work at bestbuy and can get a complete infinity kappa series sound system for about 80% off.

It all depends on what you want out of the car, if you buy a del sol with the d15b7 I personally wouldn't spend that money on any performance upgrades as it won't help, as far as appearance a nice set of wheels and a drop would suffice and can be had for a grand. But I'd reccomend going with a 15in rim as opposed to a 16in, that's just my opinion.

Why a 15"? Does it get you better gas milage or something? Or just looks?

No need for a fuel pump if you are not going F/I

I would scratch that one off the list.

15's are more of an appearance thing, again this is strictly my own opinion.

definetly gonna do the drop n some rotas. As for the engine, i'll wait on that as i want a b18c1 or h22, so it'll be awhile before i can afford that, unless i come across a b16 del sol, but that'll be rare

Aftermarket struts with different springs (or coilovers) to improve vehicle handling. You'll not only have new suspension components, but they'll be specifically for driving quickly. Replace worn bushings, install sway bars to minimize body roll, get decent brake pads (I'm using some AEM/Nissin stuff that I'm fond of).

Yeah i was thinking of some coilovers and struts, but 1 of my old friends got some on his del sol and the thing would bounce like a freakin truck if you would go over and little bump...was really annoying. Any specific brand you suggest?

Can't complain about price, this game aint cheap if you wanna play legit! Just don't buy the 30 dollar ebay set, do some research and see what stuff best suits your driving style and your goals for the car, everyone on here has their own opinions and everyone drives differently and wants different things, your best bet is to search for a while and see what you come up with
