Wheels and Tires for 2000 Civic Si
So im searching for a good set of wheels and tires. The wheels that I have caught my eye that are in my price range are 16" Rota Grids or Rota Boost. Color is probably going to be either Gunmetal or Bronze..Anyone know what the best tire for the money would be? Sizes too.... My current wheels are gunmetal 17" Motegi MR7 with Toyo Proxies... Thinking 16s would be a good size....
Any input or other wheel/tires I should look into would be great

You can get whatever diameter wheels you want. The best tire sizes on your car are 195/55-15 or 205/50-15 for 15" wheels, 205/45-16 or 215/45-16 for 16" wheels, and 205/40-17 for 17" wheels. If you go with 16" 'wheels, 16x7 is a good width for both tire sizes. Don't get 16x8 because that will limit yourself to 215/45-16 tires, which have fewer choices.
There's no "best tire for the money" without stating how you're going to use it. For example...
- If you need to use these tires in snow and frigid cold in the winter, as well as moderate to warm temperatures the rest of the year, you need an all-season tire, even though it's a compromise (i.e. whose performance isn't as good as summer tires in moderate to warm temperatures); get the Kumho ASX in 205/45-16, $87/tire with free shipping from Discount Tire Direct.
- If you won't use these in snow, and you want the absolutely stickiest street tire you can get for dry pavement, get the Kumho Ecsta XS in 215/45-16, $107/tire with free shipping from Discount Tire Direct.
- If you won't use these in snow, and you want a tire with very good grip on dry pavement and excellent in rain, and lasts a reasonably long time, get the Yokohama S.drive in 205/45-16, $98/tire with free shipping from Discount Tire Direct.

Color of my car is FBP. I'm not gonna try to use these wheels in snow. But I do live in iowa so its a toss up whether or not I will. Mainly gonna need for all seasons with wet condition. I don't want tires with big side walls. I have 17's on my car now. What do you guys suggest....16's or 17's and what color of wheels
205/40-17 is the best tire size for 17" wheels on your car.
have 205-50-15 Toyo Proxe4's on my rotas. They are horrible in the winter temps. The provide hardly any traction until they have been driven on for a bit. In the summer time its another story. With tires you need to make a sacrifice somewhere. Keep your eye on this post as Im sure its gonna bring you lots of information.
