Help!!! OBD0-OBD1 Conv. Clarifications
Hey guys,
I know there are a lot of you guys in here that has done the old common swap....JDM B16a into your civic/crx. I have a 91' civic si hatch and I've dropped in the JDM B16a motor (out of a civic SiR)....I'm doing a obd0-obd1 using a jumper/conversion harness. I was told by many people that I need obd1 injector clips, obd1 ecu, 4 wire 02 sensor and a obd1 dizzy.
I've already solder the obd1 clips onto my stock harness and running RC 440cc (got rid of my resistor box), bought a new bosch 4 wire 02 sensor (going to hook that up tomorrow) and found a P28 ecu from my local junkyard (94 ex coupe).
Now, my question is do I need the obd1 dizzy??? Some say yes....and some say no....what is it???? I was told that if I get the dizzy....I'll have to change my whole entire engine harness to obd1 and that will be a mess. If I don't get the dizzy, I can run my obd0 and still be ok as long as I just pin the wires correctly on my stock engine harness connector to hook up to the dizzy connector. I'm leaning towards option 2 (keep the obd0 dizzy) because everything will run to the ecu....and that's where the conversion harness does it's job....am I right??? I just don't want to dump more money out and to find out that I can run the obd0 dizzy.....any help with this will greatly help.....Thanks!!!

u need the obd1 dizzy TD44U or TD68U
and i would not get the p28 since its for a dohc motor the fuel curve is not as agressive you need p30, or i guess you could chip the p28 for your needs
your car will not run with a obd1 ecu and a obd0 dizzy
you dont need to swap your harness just make a jumper for the dizzy

[QUOTE]i have a jdm sohc zc vtec its obd1 that i dropped in my 91 civic si i kept the same injector clips and dizzy all i changed was the o2 to a 4 wire i also used a p28 but the problem i ran into was my ecu rears a sensor that my jdm motor doesnt have so i have to remap my ecu so i wont get a cel. but im wondering off i used the obd0 engine wire harness and just made a jumper for my dizzy i think if u doing an obd0 engine with an obd 1 ecu just ecu jumper is needed and it should work
