Default Crazy Axle Nut!!

So on my 97 civic, im trying to remove my driver side axle nut. impact guns wont budge it, i used an IG Rand 750 titanium series @ 150 psi. then broke to cheap breaker bars trying to budge it. then broke the heads off 3 craftsman ratchets. and now i have bent a snap on breaker bar almost 90 degrees trying to crack this nut loose. it wont budge! does anyone have some help they can offer here!!

* ps please dont say big breaker bar with a pipe.... cuz it dont work.

i would try lots and lots of pb blaster and some time then yes again, another breaker bar.
but you could take the caliper off if you didn't already and try some heat but then you run the risk of destroying the cv and prob ruining the wheel bearing.

You have to unbend the thingy around the nut to get it to turn, you did that right ? With a flat head screwdriver?

Heat it with a torch until it's good and hot (not red hot!) then grab a handful of snow and cool it rapidly. Ice water may work too. Do this 3 or 4 times then try to break it again.

so i might of neglected to say in my first post... i was using about a 15 foot cheater pole.... came off of my grandfathers grapvine in the backyard.... and no im not exagurating the size... its about 15 feet long... that broke a one of the breaker bars... everything else broke with just a 2 foot lead pipe at the end of it. the snap on breaker bar bends with that 2 foot lead pipe...

you can try getting your hands on a 3/4 impact gun with a 3/4 to 1/2in adapter if you dont have the 3/4 axlenut socket

ive always used PB Blaster and just a little bit of heat to break them loose. also, make sure you use an impact socket, not just a regular hand socket. that makes a world of difference. sit on that bitch with an impact off and on and it will adventually come loose

this happened to me a while back... i had removed the axle nut not even a week before! It was put on with a brand new snap-on impact. well after about a week i had to replace the axles and there was NOTHING that could budge this sob. so i kept driving it. sprayed PB blaster on it every time i got out of the car for about a week. then i got that bitch HOT and hit it with a 3/4 inch impact and it came right off. good luck

Man, and I thought I had car problems! LOL Why are you taking off your axle nut anyway? Gotta replace the axle? If worse comes to worse, just cut the friggin thing off.....
