been searching but can't seem to find a pinout for an 89 crx hf cluster. what i need to know is if the wiring is different between hf and ex. I have a clean ex cluster out of a 4-door, which i would like to replace my messed up crx hf one. i know that 88-89 and 90-91 is different, ( the ex cluster is 89, I'm pretty sure) but when i plug it in, the battery light comes on, but its dim, and nothing else works. where can i find some good pinouts for cluster wiring between different models/trim levels? thanks

 

what a dummy!! sorry if this seemed like a stupid question, cuz it is. I got to looking a little closer at my car last night, and even though it said '89 on the info sticker on the door jamb, which is what i glanced at the first time, after a closer scrutiny i saw that it read 11\89, which effectively makes the car a 90 model, as any car made after the 6th month of a year is considered next year's model. I apologize for being stupid.

 

Another thing is that the EX was a 90/91 model only
