The radio station backlight on my 93 Civic DX's OEM radio was not working. This means I could not see the radio station numbers at night. The problem turned out to be a faulty resistor on the radio circuit board. I posted a writeup at http://honda.lioness.googlepages.com/radiolight . Hopefully this will help someone else with an OEM radio from Civic model years 1988-95 and possibly other years. From googling it seems Accords circa 2003 had a similar faulty resistor in their radios.
