Default tranny woes

so i ordered my trans from hmotors and my car is still grinding 5th gear, the slave/clutch master have about 7k on them, the release bearing is new, im using redline mtl 70w80 and the clutch has 7k as well.... any suggestion?

What RPM's are you in 4th, prior to switching to 5th ? .. if it's near redline, then I'de say it's normal .. I believe all H-series trannys grind 5th a little, mine does as well, M2A4. Not good, but it's a factory defect so what can you do.

no just fast shifting from 4th to 5th doesnt have to be high rpm, i actually got it fixed. it was the clutch pedal, took it to jotech motorsports and he fixed it in like 2 minutes then drove it.

btw, you should stick to honda mtf for honda transmissions, that other stuff you're using might not be good for the seals, no way to tell until it starts leaking

that thick crap kills the plastic bearin cages from what i hear. i agree, put the honda stuff back in, or 10w-30

you aren't doing yourself any favors by running that sludge.
