Default Front Upper Tie Bar

Considering buying a front upper tie bar for my 92/bb2 prelude. I have had a look at a few, Neuspeed, Tanabe - Sustec, Megan Racing. Have a few Q's.

1. Is it worthwhile buying one, do they improve feel and handling at all?
2. Any recommendations?
3. Regarding fitment: some info i have read says to fit the bar while the car is on level ground, other info says the car should be raised on jack stands during fitment. Anyone who has one fitted, How did you install it?
4. Is it better is get an adjustable one, or a one piece setup such as neuspeed supply?

Any and all info much appreciated. (Search isnt working or i wouldnt have to ask all these questions_f*%king annoying)

If you're talking about a front strut bar (connects the tops of the 2 strut towers), then there are only 3 or 4 good options.

1. Neuspeed
2. JDM (requires additional hardware)
3. Spoon
4. Custom

If you get a good one, it's worth it. If you get a cheapo from eBay, you just bought 2lbs of worthless metal.

Here's a picture of my JDM (5th gen):

I've done some more research and i am leaning towards neuspeed strut bar.
Bumpy for more input.

Kronn 98SH: where did you get your JDM strut bar?

The only input to consider is what I already gave you.

I got the bar on eBay for about $90. And I do not believe the 5th gen bar will fit your 4th gen Lude.

Here's a pic on my 4th Gen.. It's Custom. Buddy of mine made it, but it was expensive. 8hrs of labor at a machine shop isn't cheap. So I'd say go for the Nuespeed.

Just FYI the 92-96 prelude vtec neuspeed bar fits in a h23a si bay, I just just got a new one installed yesterday, cause they bent my old one during my vtec swap to get the oil cap off. I like the placement on the vtec bar better as well. I need to take that pic later.

This, obviously, is the H23 Bar.

the vtec bar is away from the engine more towards the firewall, and the h23 bar is further towards the front of the bay.

Absolutely go with the Neuspeed for front upper.

Front lower, go with an ESP traction bar.

And then Tanabe for the rest of the parts, combined with some ground control and koni yellows combo

Thankyou All, for your thoughts and info.

MLBZ521: Thanks for the pic's.

My next investment will be some new rims and tyres.
Later this year i will be looking at ugrading my suspension, and getting a traction bar, when i save up some more prelude cash.

The ESP bars they are selling on PreludePower look awesome. Check them out. I want a set for my car. Probably will be my next mod after I lower it in a week or two.

here is the vtec bar, which i would use for h23 or h22 cause it fits better and has better placement. ...for some reason neuspeed put the sticker on backwards. has to be a fluke, the bar didnt fit the other way.
