Someone hit my car today... dont know who, dont know where. The rear bumper and rear fasica(?) are messed up. The right corner is chipped and bumped in a bit and the part above that, below the lights, is bent. That seems to be the only damage. How much should this cost to fix? Maybe I can just buy this parts from Acura and put them on myself?

I am pissed, I bought this car 4 days ago.

 

get a police report for hit and run.... and claim it..

 

I went to about 10 different places today... I dont know where it happened.

 

park in a mall.. go in and come out in an hour.. call police...

 

If lets say I did do this... what good would come out of it? I mean, they aren't going to find anyone, because nobody did it. I wouldn't want them to pin it on someone who didn't do it. Is it worth my time?

How much am I looking at paying?

 

u dont have to park in a mall do it in front of your house or whatever. a hit and run equals vandalism, which in turn means your insurance shouldnt go up at all.

 

the same thing happened to my friend.. we were parked at Glendale Galleria (a mall) and he parked his car face in like everyone does... and I guess one of those big *** suburbans or ford F150 X cabs or some long *** truck (because I don't see how a normal car would need THAT much space... the galleria spaces between the cars (back to back) is pretty big...

anyway someone backed into his car and damaged the rear bumper cover, and the part on the trunk that sits below the emblem... he got estimates of about $1300 to fix the dent/hole in the sheet metal and the scuffed paint on the rear bumper... he's gonna put it in the shop when I put mine in in Sept (to get my rear wing shaved, take out some door dings, emblem hole filling, etc)...
