rebuild and now car starting problems.....really rough.
Motor is a built and boosted d16a6 w/ a pm-9 head and a brand new dizzy on s300.Well, the car had two burnt valves so I replaced them and their seals.
Put the head back on and did a valve adjustment(.008). When I started to pour the coolant in it started to seep out between the head and block( I torqued it again) fixed it. When I attempted to start the car it ran like poop. Turns out it jump like three teeth. So I retimed it. The second time I went to start it, it started up fine and idled beautifully (right at 900 rpms) then died. I started it again and it ran like ****. ( bucking out of control and would only run if I held in the gas pedal, the higher the rpms the worse it ran) It wasn't burning any oil.
I have:
1. cleaned the iacv.
2. Checked timing.
3. All wires are getting spark.
I was wondering if it could be the map sensor because their are two, one on the firewall and one the TB but only one clip.
or maybe when the coolant leaked a little mixed with the oil and created that gunk (could that do it?) or could it just be the tune?

Mine did that after my rebuild. Turns out I bent all the exhaust valves. If you have access to a compression tester you should measure your compression to get a better idea of what's going on (not saying you bent your valves but you never know, 3 teeth might've been enough to damage them).
Use the MAP on the throttle body, there's no place to hook up the vacuum line for the firewall MAP.
Any chance the TPS and MAP connectors got switched? That would make it run like crap.

WOW......Found out what it was. Somehow a hose and its clamp made its way between the head and block right in the number 1 cylinder. With that said the block is done...... guess it is time to start saving up money.
