Default Bolt broke connecting trailing arm to lower control

I'm in the process of changing my spring, shock set up. Thebushing going through the bolt groing through the control arm and the shock was junk so I decided to take the whole control arm out, when the bolt connecting the control arm to the trailing arm , the head broke off, I have no idea what to do next...other than get a whole to trailing arm and control arm?
What are my options here?
Thanks in advance?

Air die grinder. See http://honda.lioness.googlepages.com...sionrenovation . Since you are in snowy Wisconsin, expect more frozen bolts and so consider the impact wrench, and technique for it, discussed at the latter web site as well.

A torch is the best way. Heat all bolts up B4 attempting to remove them. As for the broke one cut it out to allow the LCA to drop, but leave enough room to get vise grips on the part that treads into the trailing arm. Heat it up and twist it out.

I had the same problem last wednesday during a diy trailing arm bushing swap. I had to went to a garage to fix it.
So I saw what they did with a small air grinder: grind off the welded nut of the schock and replace it with a stainless steel bolt and nut.

cut the back side that is threaded on the trailing arm, then use a long bolt with a a locking washer and nut to replace what you cut off

those only have a couple inches of thread then you tap them a little bit with a hammer right? try threading it as if your tightening it with some vice grips and then you can tap it out correct me if im wrong

Hacksaw believe it or not. I've tried a sawzall on those bolts, their too hard and the saw is too fast, it just burns the blade. You'll have to cut it off between the bushing and the inside of the trailing arm, remove the old bushing in the LCA and replace it, either remove the last bit of bolt from the trailing arm or cut off the captive nut and replace it with a regular nut and a new bolt.

usually before i try to take anybolt outside the car i spray some PB and let it sit overnight. Somebolts are just a pain and you will need a torch!
