Get a hatch, better base to build off of, plus light chasis to boot...but I"m biased...I have a hatch myself lol.

4 door would def be different, but iono, it seems like a waste to be putting an R motor in a 4 door...performance wise speaking.

the engine itself wouldnt be to loud, but the add ons (exaust, intake, ect...) might be. but thats the same for any engine

Don't ask HT what you should do with your car. Most of us like coupes and hatches because they are smaller and we mostly think they look better. But if you like sedans, go for it. Plenty of people are into sedans. And like you stated, the weight difference is minimal. What gibsanez was saying is that you could do a lot more for that money. If I were you I would personally go with a GSR. The ITR is overpriced in my honest opinion. You should learn how to swap that engine yourself. It will teach you a lot about everything, and it really isn't that difficult. Not to mention you will save a bunch of money.

Oh, yeah. and about the sound. Again, it is up to what you think is "tolerable." But it is only going to be as loud as the intake/header/exhaust you put on it. The engine isn't loud from the factory with the stock intake/exhaustmani/exhaust.

let me clarify something for you. i owned a coupe, a hatch, and a 4 door, and so far. my 4 door is the lightest chassis of them all. you speak of what you do not know.

my car, with full interior, full tank of gas, and a steely in the trunk with me in it weighs 2400 pounds...

it might have 2 extra doors, but theyre smaller doors, and lighter. think bout that.

oh and a b series swap

i'll go for the sedan, everybody likes hatchs adn work them... but the sedan has a lot more stability and track response cause to the chasis structure.

enjoy!

i've never owned a four door it was either hatch or coup, not because i don't like four doors if done right they put hatches to shame, i'm just greedy and hate giving free rides

But stick with four door, and with 9k you can do a K20 swap, an H2B, or a completely built B, or a completely built D, 6k left over and a feeling of worthlessness ( i hate D's... unless they cup sizes )

here's what i'd do, H2B slightly built, full supension, nice wheels , roof rack and a new paint job, i say you leave it white, put a lip kit and Feiro parts, and your set

I have a coupe, but my brother owns a four door, I personally like the 4 doors, they are nice, and you can really surprise somebody, if you leave it mostly stock on the outside. I just like the idea of a sleeper four door, plus 4 doors equals 4 ******, never goes wrong.

sell this car for a little more.. buy a car thats cheaper with the lowest model you can find.. usually a cx model.. then used the extra money and the 9k to work on suspension, engine, rear disc brake conversion, SECURITY! etc.. you still might have 2k left.. unless your planning on spending all 9k
