Hi guys,

Does anyone know when they'll be airing the SWC series on the Speed channel this year?

Last year was the first year I can remember they screwed us, and aired the races on wednesdays mostly.

Any changes to this years schedule? I know our local track mosport is having a touring car double header and a GT race in early May. I'll be there, not sure about televised dates though.

From what I understand both touring and GT will now be in the same 1 hour airing. Thats right... both races in a one hour broadcast. I would also assume they'll be aired on a weekday sometime around noon.

 

Yea, they need to cut down on real racing so they can show more nascar and pinks.........

That really stinks. Its one of the best race series going, and its take a back seat to this other crap.

Its not Nascar itself I have a problem with, its all of the other filler garbage, that is related to nascar, BUT ISNT ACTUALLY RACING! If they aired only race events, or even the odd news, or talk show, that would be fine. I'm ready to cut speed channel off my satelite subrscription.

Don't forgot "Livin' the Low Life", "Pimp my ride", "Unique Whips", and "Pinks all out". In my opinion, these aforementioned shows should be on a channel called "BlingTV" or "HardParkin' TV". I guess the US can revel in the fact that the majority are really sho kaa guys and the racers or those who like to watch racing (other than CRASHCAR) are the small minority. We need a real "Speed" channel and just one named it.

I think we need to get a bunch of speed TV subscribers to cancel all at the same time on the same day. I'm thinking about cancelling that channel aswell. The only good thing is F1 and I could watch that online if I really wanted to.

There are some good races but they're usually aired super early in the morning or 12midnight to 2 in the morning.

 

At Sebring, only 14 TC's (5 of which are Realtime cars), and 25 GT cars. I think its safe to say that PD Cunningham is single-handedly keeping TC afloat. Without him, I don't think Speed would televise nine cars on the track.

 

Minus RTR and Tri-point, and WC is no more.
