Default NSX wheels 94-01

Got a set of 94-01 NA1 16/17 inch NSX wheels for my S2000. Even trade. The guy wanted stocker[AP1] so he can sell his car.How many here have used them and what's the verdict. The set I got might need new tires in a month or so.that's the reason for this thread. I wanted to know if I should invest in tires for the NSX wheels or sell them and get some AP2V2 or V1.?. I am in the SF Bay area and would trade them for some AP2 if anyone is interested. If I ended up keeping it for awhile I will be using 215/50/16 fronts and 255/40/17 for the rears. New guy here so please be patient with me.Thw NSX wheels I got looks like the Integra ITR wheels.Fitment is great with my Tein S-Tech setup.

Ride is good and I think it's a subtle setup and pretty unique. Whats the reason Corvette,Ferraris and other rear wheel drive race car use smaller front wheels than the rear?Even in RC racing the 2wd rear drive pan cars[even 1/8 scale gas 4wd road cars use smaller front tires.

good trade....

As for staggered wheels its simply because increased contact patch makes for more traction. More traction in the rear causes a bias, and the front tires will break traction before the rear, a phenomenon known as understeer. It's inherent, it's physics, and unarguable. On the street however, 9 times out of 10, you won't notice a difference.

It goes the other way as well. A narrower tire, with less contact patch makes for less traction, less traction means the rear will break loose before the front, resulting in a phenomenon known as oversteer.

and what I said has to do with the car's balance which results in the tire size and width.

Thanks AP1 man. Other owners using the wheels at the moment? I probably got 1000 or so miles on the rear tire and more in front before I start shopping for tires. Like I said I don't mind trading them for some AP2 V2 or should I just hold on to them?

That's weird this thread was started- a guy just put up some 16/17 oem nsx wheels for sale on my local forum last night and i did some looking around. There are a lot of threads about them on here. Seems like a very nice fit and I personally think they look sick. I'm gonna try to pick them up but there is another guy I saw that wants them as well so we'll see what happens..

I had these wheels on my car. The best combo IMO was a 225/45/16 and a 255/40/17 so the front doesn't look too chubby. You would need coilovers to achieve a nice drop, being the rear lower than the front, but visually not.

WOW....16 in. wheels up front and 17 in. wheels rear. Not only does the S2k look like a dune buggy, it'll probably handle like one.

Either stay with the OEM wheels or get the proper aftermarket wheel/tire size upgrade, IMO.

NSX spec 16-17's are very common the the S. You got a great trade deal bro. And there is no reason the car would handle poorly with the setup. You just need to select the proper tire sizes.

Handles pretty good. Still got the 45 series in front which was stock with the NSX. Most people recommended a 50 or 55 series[16] in front to even up the diameter with the rear 40 series[17 inch]. Amazing when people would comment and recognize that they're NSX wheels.

AP1 center caps fit those NSX rims by removing the center metal ring. It fits snug.

The only thing I imagine is how retarded it is to argue with those who think something works just because it fits. I guess you can equate this to arguing with HT'ers "who know their ****". :rolls eyes:
